Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium
A 1.5 hour drive from the hotel. The displays representing the Southwestern Islands and the Kuroshio Sea offer a glimpse into the diversity of Okinawa's beautiful ocean. Other than the aquarium, there are many other attractions in the area such as a theater where you can watch dolphin shows, a botanical garden, a beach, and athletic facilities.
Cape Manzamo
An hour's drive from the hotel. Manzamo is one of the most famous scenic spots in Okinawa, known for its elephant-like rocks. The "Mao" in Manzamo means grassland, and Manzamo means a grassland large enough for many people to sit on. It is also a famous sunset point.
Naha Kokusai Dori Shopping Street
A 5-minute walk from the hotel. Kokusai-dori Street, lined with souvenir shops and restaurants, is lively day and night. The alleyways branching off from Kokusai-dori are attracting more and more people's attention as they are filled with unique stores such as old-fashioned stores and select stores with great taste.
Shurijo Castle
A 10-minute drive from the hotel, the castle was registered as a World Heritage Site in December 2000 as "Gusuku Sites and Related Properties of the Kingdom of Ryukyu" and is one of Okinawa's representative historical spots. From the "Azana of the West" on the top of the castle, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city of Naha and the Tokashiki Islands.
Himeyuri Memorial Tower
A 30-minute drive from the hotel. This is the cenotaph for the Himeyuri Students who served as nursing staff during World War II. The actual toadstool and the Peace Memorial Museum tell the tragic story of the war. Many people still come to offer flowers.
Sefa-utaki
About 45 minutes by car from the hotel, it was registered as a World Heritage Site together with the ruins of Shuri Castle in December 2000. It is a large scale Utaki with six sanctuaries, and is the highest sanctuary in Okinawa that has been worshipped since the Ryukyu Kingdom.
T Galleria by DFS, Okinawa
About a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The only duty free store in Japan where you can enjoy duty free shopping. You can store until 2 hours and 30 minutes before the departure of your return flight. Duty free prices are even lower during sales.
Senagajima Umikaji Terrace
About 25 minutes by car from the hotel. The white shopping area on the slope of the hill in front of the ocean is lined with trendy goods, sweets, and gourmet stores. The promenade and observatory are also located here, and the sight of airplanes taking off and landing at Naha Airport flying overhead is breathtaking.
Tsuboya Yachimun Dori
About 10 minutes on foot from the hotel. On the cobblestone streets with a nostalgic atmosphere, there are many pottery stores, each with its own unique style, such as Shisa and tableware. Since there are many cafes scattered around, we recommend taking a walk while looking for your favorite.
Sakaemachi Arcade
About 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The market is a maze of alleyways crowded with small taverns and bars. It is one of Naha's most famous deep spots. There are many unique stores and hidden gems, so be sure to enjoy a round of drinks.
Naminoue Beach
About 10 minutes by car from the hotel. This is the only town beach in Naha City where you can swim. There are also bench seats and pavilions, perfect if you want to stare at the ocean while in town. Nearby is Umisora Park, where you can try diving, snorkeling, and BBQ facilities.
Nagannu Island
About 10 minutes by car + 20 minutes by boat from the hotel. An uninhabited coral sand island located about 20 minutes by boat from Naha (Tomari Port). During the on-season, stores, toilets, and cottages for accommodation are open, and you can enjoy swimming in the superb sea.
